I don’t very often do out of state sessions anymore as it can be somewhat stressful.  But I make an exception for these two, especially since mom is so nice to work with.  I’ve done their portraits several times so I’m getting kind of attatched to them.  The little guy didn’t even cry at me this time!  I know they’re more traditional than I usually do.  I make that exception for them too.  They look so cute in their Easter best.  Her red hair and his cupid curls and big baby blues are going to give mom big trouble someday.

The link to my blog should be appearing shortly so I’m going to go ahead and write again.  Spring is here and I’m so excited to get going!  The slow winter months have been so useful.  I became determined to step up the experience my clients get when they choose me as their photographer.  This blog was one thing on my list that I wasn’t sure would happen but here it is!  It gives me a way to communicate new ideas or events with everyone.  I also wrote a couple of articles that I hope will help people prepare for their sessions.  I created a new logo and chose colors for my business.  I changed my website enter page and updated my images as well as pricing (probably not good news but needed to be done).  I also improved my system a bit, I’m so glad to be more organized now!  I have an actual address book on my computer with client information so I don’t have to shuffle through a pile of scratch paper (sad, huh?).  I made a receipt form that was too long in coming.  There are a few other things as well, and plenty more to be done.  As clients, please feel free to let me know about your experience and what you would like to see.  I’m looking forward to outdoor sessions with variety and color!  Bring it on, Spring!

They say I need a blog, so I finally got one! It’s been agony, and I have a feeling I’m not done yet. That’s what happens when non web-savvy people try to muddle through things on their own. It sure makes you proud when it comes together though. I may need a little help finishing things up but I think we’re close. Now I need to come up with a name for this thing, “The Blog” doesn’t exactly ooze with creative genius. Perhaps I’ll try to upload an image as well. Speaking of Savvy, we tried a little photo-shoot today. I got all of six pictures. She thought it was cold, big baby, and wouldn’t cooperate.
