Love Seniors
Saturday, May 24th, 2008I had a lot of fun with W. She’s a runner so we had some fun at the track and then went downtown for a fashion shoot. I believe she had six outfits! She has a great personality and a gorgeous smile.
If you know anyone who will be a senior next year send them this way because I love shooting them! And they will get a set of 411 cards to hand out to friends like the one posted here.
Finally! Outdoor sessions again.
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008“real people” wear great shoes
Monday, May 5th, 2008This weekend we went to Salt Lake City to see Glen Hansard in concert. He’s kindof my new thing in music (He’s the Irish guy who won the award for his musical movie “Once”). When I heard the music I couldn’t help but buy the soundtrack and then we heard he was coming to SLC. You see him and he just looks like a regular, easy-going guy, and then he starts to sing with so much passion and wails on that accustic guitar. I am a sucker for accoustic guitar. One day I will learn to play the one Dan got me two Christmasas ago. Anyway, the concert was great as expected. But hauling four kids on a four hour drive so that you can attend a concert and come back the next day is something we must have forgotten was not a good idea. There was a LOT of screaming on the way home. Know what else isn’t a good idea? Thinking that since you are going out without any kids, pretending to be “real people” with freedom and slime-free clothing, that you should wear a pair of great heels. Okay, so maybe they’re cheap payless heels. So you spend the whole night in agonizing pain rather than enjoying the concert you went to so much trouble to attend. We were standing for about four hours. I took them off after a couple of hours, when the concert actually started. Honestly, I’m so ashamed. I normally don’t agree with excessive suffering for appearances sake. It’s just that I’ve been making an attempt to improve my sloppy mom wardrobe and I had this great new outfit and….well, that’s all I have to excuse myself. So I think I learned my lesson. And even though it was a lot of work and pain, we did go out and live some life. Sometimes you just gotta do it.
