Blustery Day
Tuesday, June 17th, 2008I just love photographing baby J. We have done it every three months. He has such big, beautiful, blue eyes. The only problem is there’s no way this dude gets enough attention from his siblings ;) They’re so cute with him. And mom had a great idea for our session this time. They pulled out some extra hay bails and old wagon wheels and we got to do something a little different and very fun! The kids were very patient with the blustery wind as well, they are good sports.
Baby Brother

We went on a great “fake-cation” to the far off land of Salt Lake City. We weren’t sure our schedules were going to work out for going somewhere new this year so we made sure to give the kids some fun. We went to Lagoon, stayed at a hotel, ate lots of yummy food, and did the dinosaur museum and I-Max. While we were at it I decided to finally buy a point and shoot camera to capture the fun. I’ve been meaning to for some time because many times when we do fun things or family events I won’t bring a camera at all because it’s so big and cumbersome. Sometimes you just gotta live life rather than record it. Well, now I can document it with crappy snapshots! Actually it’s a good little camera, a Canon powershot, with a lot of the controls big brother has. So I can adjust exposure, flash comp., use manual focus and all kinds of good things. I can tell the quality’s not the same of course, but I’ll get used to it. The kids have also been dying to be able to take pictures too (my camera phone was getting way too much use) so I gave them a mini-lesson and they are having a lot of fun learing how. I thought of taking a picture of baby brother in a basket with a blanket and all, but I’ll post a snapshot instead.
Dandelions!
Thursday, June 12th, 2008Beautiful Bride
Monday, June 2nd, 2008My sister in law came to town to have bridals done. We were worried that the rain would ruin our fun but we got enough in before we were rained out. She looked beautiful. I have to post a picture of the bouquet too because I made it for her session since she was coming from out of town (all the way from Nebraska). I didn’t know what I was doing but my sister (who is a fabulous florist in Salt Lake) gave me some tips and I thought it worked out pretty well. I attatched my grandmothers broach for a little bling. I’ll try to post some from the wedding soon.
