Fall Mini-Sessions

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I’m trying something new this year.  Since fall sessions are so popular I will be offering two days of mini-sessions The first will be Sat. Sept. 27th and the second will be sometime in October.  The session fee for these will be $20 (for up to 7 people).  The disc will be available with a $250 portrait purchase.  The sessions will be 20 minutes each so the number of proofs will of course be less.  Right now I am thinking of doing them at Shoshone Falls since it works well with families, but I’m still thinking through the details.  Spread the word and remember that if you send a friend you will receive a free 8×10 from your session.  Also, there will be a limited number of mini-sessions, so call as soon as possible.

My Turn

I finally had a turn behind the camera, and I now understand how my clients feel.  Hopefully it will give me new sensitivity to the plight of the mother wrestling several children while trying to maintain a serene expression.  I asked my dad (who is a great photographer) to take some family pictures of us.  They turned out  to be more than I had envisioned.  The truck was my grandpa’s, and that shot was just what I had in mind.  The other shots were taken in the home where my grandmother and her siblings lived with her grandmother.  My dad told Grant he wanted to tell him a story of a little boy who lived in that house and his name was Grant (my Grandma’s brother).  So these have great sentimental value as well.  I can wait to hang them up BIG in my house!  Thanks dad.
